- Salesforce promoted Quip CEO Bret Taylor to serve as its president and chief product officer, putting him in charge of global product vision, go-to-market strategy, design and development.
- It’s a shift for Taylor, who joined Salesforce last year as part of the acquisition of the productivity software company he cofounded.
- Taylor’s profile inside the company rose since the Quip acquisition, and the product that his company created has gone on to be a sort of collaboration glue that underpins all of Salesforce’s other products.
- As for Dayon, Salesforce said in a press release that he will be working closely with the company’s customers on product direction, and driving strategic initiatives for the tech giant. Both Taylor and Dayon will report directly to Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff.
